Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of electricity Mohamed Shaker is scheduled to inaugurate the first solar-powered plant in Benban, Aswan on Wednesday, Al Borsa newspaper reported.
In late October, the ministers of electricity and investment and international cooperation had signed agreements with 13 companies to invest $863 million in solar-powered projects in the Benban complex.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is affiliated to the World Bank (WB), would provide around 75.6% of the investment costs for the projects.
